This may be over 9 years old now but added as it still brings a smile to our faces here at Llandudno What  whenever revisited.

Track was featured on the Chris Moyles Breakfast Show back on the 17th May 2010. Based on Alicia Keys' Empire State of Mind, this version with the North Walian edge was broadcast on the Monday as part of The Radio 1 Big Weekend in Bangor, 22nd and 23rd May

Never been up here before, where the mountain meets the shore, and it’s all so green,

It’s so picturesque, where the air’s so clean and fresh, and it’s like a dream,

From west Snowdon to the Llandudno Junction or to Colwyn Bay,

There’s so much to see, and it’s so great to be here in the month of May.

Got a map and a hired car, I’m gonna travel near and far.

Baby I’m in North Wales,

Picture postcards scenes on my doorstep, so much I’ve not seen yet.

Yes I’m in North Wales.

This place will make you feel brand new, fresh air will inspire you.

Hear it for North Wales, North Wales, North Wales.

To get here can be a trek, try it, what the heck, if you get the chance.

Weather is so warm, and the people are nicer than they are in France.

Yes, today I travelled north from Harlech to the Menai Bridge,

What a pretty drive, with so much to see it’s such a privilege.

Going over to Anglesey, I got so scared before my tea,

Took the A55 to the great city.

So accessible but as long as you have a car, wave your hands in the air and say bore da! bore da!’
