Welsh Guards Flag Raising Ceremony 2018Today saw the Flag Raising Ceremony for the National Armed Forces Day to be held in Llandudno on Saturday 30th June. Members from the Welsh Guards took centre stage at the ceremony with LSgt Rowlands receiving the flag from members of the Queen’s Dragoon Guards before marching off to hand over the flag to LCpl Smith And LCpl Oxtoby who performed the flag raising. Set in beautiful sunshine and in the scenic Llandudno Bay, the ceremony was witnessed by local school children, Council officials, military veterans from all services and holiday makers. All three arms of the armed forces took part with the Army represented by the Welsh Guards, Queen’s Dragoon Guards and 1 Royal Welsh.
