RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve attraction image
The RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve stands on the banks on the River Conwy and with the entrance being just about a 100 yards from Junction 18 of the A55 can claim to be one of the most easily accessed by (car of course) attractions here on the North Wales coast.
This RSPB  nature reserve was created from the waste material during the construction of the nearby River Conwy Road tunnel and now over 24 years later (opened 14 April 1995) has built up a reputation as being one of the North Wales regions top attractions.
Features of the reserve include first of all a large free car park, a quality visitor centre/shop, a coffee shop with a great viewing area of the reserve itself and the Carneddau mountains.
Also on offer are an Outdoor play area, a wildlife garden, three hides along with nature-based activities, trails, birthday party bookings plus many regular events such as Farmers markets are held throughout the year. Check out our vibrant Event Guide highlights block below for the latest upcoming RSPB Reserve events.
Wildlife wise , the following are just some of the wide range of wildlife that you may encounter...
...Burnet moth, Common Blue butterfly, Starlings, Water Rails, Sedge Warblers, Emperor dragonflies, Black-tailed Godwits, Stoats, Snipes ...
while visiting the Reserve.
If not a RSPB member then entrance to the full RSPB Reserve does cost, however both the Cafe and the Visitor centre/shop are open to all (free!) and are both recommended for a stand alone visit by Llandudno What!

COVID 19 - Our Statement
16th March
To our valued friends and supporters,
In response to the Prime Minister’s statement this evening, advising the UK public to avoid unnecessary social contact, we regret to inform you that Venue Cymru and Theatr Colwyn will not be staging shows or screening films at this time. We will continue to follow guidance as to when we should recommence our programme.
We kindly ask that you do not contact the box office as our teams will be contacting you soon with further details regarding cancelled and postponed events.
We understand that this decision will come as a disappointment and inconvenience, but ultimately we all want the same thing: the health and safety of our communities, and we believe this is the correct decision to make.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation. We appreciate you support and look forward to welcoming you back to Venue Cymru and Theatr Colwyn again very soon.
