Conwy Council have announced plans to get Marine Drive fully open by Easter
Damaged last February during the recent storms, work has now started to repair the unsafe road and footpath.
Currently Access for residents of 'Marine Drive' and customers of the 'Rest & Be Thankful Café' and 'The Lighthouse' is via a temporary two way system with traffic lights from the pier end.
Currently there is no through route around the Great Orme.
“We’ve prioritised these repairs to get Marine Drive fully open by Easter,” said Cllr Greg Robbins, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transportation. “We understand it’s inconvenient for residents to have the road closed, but it is absolutely necessary to keep the public safe.”
Easter Sunday this year is 12th April 2020
