Four years since luxury resort and theme park Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs the island has been abandoned by humans leaving the surviving dinosaurs to fend for themselves. When the island's volcano begins to rumble, Owen and Claire start a campaign to rescue the dinosaurs from becoming extinct again. Arriving on the island they uncover a plot that could return the world to dangerous times not seen since the prehistoric era. While Owen hunts for Blue, his lead raptor who is missing in the wild they come across some new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before
